the role.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Customs Clerk to join a well-established shipping company that has been operating since 1874 and has seen continued growth. You will be joining a close-knit team of engaged and highly motivated individuals. Dealing with all queries quickly and efficiently and build good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Supporting and advising customers on all international import / export requirements especially with new processes brought upon by Brexit. 

  • Update and maintain reference logs for customers. 
  • Maintain accurate filing and archiving records. 
  • Audit and check entries completed. 
  • To ensure the company is fully compliant with the requirements of HMRC and other relevant bodies. 
  • Complete all billing as required with the internal system.

As the Customs Clerk you will receive a competitive salary dependent upon experience. Working hours will be Monday- Friday 8:00am-17:00pm. 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension plus free parking. The right candidate will expect to progress their career as the company expands and eventually look at running the UK office.  


what we’re looking for. 

As the Customs Clerk you will need to have a minimum of one year’s experience within an Import Customs Entry position. Ideally, you will have had experience with systems such as MultiFreight and Destin8. You will be familiar with different export/import regimes and different modes of transport. Strong communication skills both written and verbal are required.
