the role: 

The Compliance Manager will ensure that the sites quality systems are maintained and are audit ready at all times both internally and externally by implementing corrective and preventative actions.  Managing the quality systems through, from raw material supply to finished product dispatched. Developing the sites Traceability Systems so that the sites legal responsibilities are maintained and upheld.   As the Compliance Manager you will be responsible for maintaining the Document and Control log creating and updating a range of documents essential to the operation of the QMS including The Food Safety and Quality manual, procedures, Sops, Risk Assessments, Inspection check lists.  Issuing new and updated documentation including adding it to the training matrix.  Within the role you will develop the Customer Service agreements with the Sales Team to ensure customer requirements are captured and not just met but exceeded, this will include the instigation of complaints investigations and informing the Management team or emerging trends.  Supporting the site to achieve continuous compliance to standards and requirements set by governing bodies, customers and internal processes.

what we’re looking for: 

The Compliance Manager will need to have great people skills as duties will include recruitment, training, development, absence cover, appraisals, performance management, grievances, disciplinaries with guidance from HR so the ability to communicate well is essential. A high competency of IT skills is required for this role with an eye for detail, flexibility and the ability to prioritise. You will need to have previous experience in a similar role.
