A rare opportunity to join a well established company in the Suffolk area has arisen. We are looking for someone with a background in metallurgy and electrical and mechanical engineering to ensure all components are sourced & delivered on time to meet pre determined deadlines.
Job Details:
To understand customer's material specifications and liaise with suppliers to establish what customers can be offered with cost implications being taken into consideration
Responsibility for sourcing components to the correct spec
To have knowledge of NDT and NDE & managing the delivery of the testing with sub suppliers to meet delivery dates for clients
To schedule contracts onto the shop floor to ensure on time delivery of the finished products
Knowledge of using a computerised MRP system
Maintain and monitor accurate stock records and levels to ensure the company doesn't hold excess or obsolete stock but that there are always sufficient components readily available to complete orders
Experience and skills required:
Knowledge of MRP systems & previous procurement experience is a necessity
Excellent negotiation & analytical skills
A self motivated, persistent & tenacious individual with the ability to influence others
