polkadotfrog and our dedicated technical team are currently recruiting for an Analytical Design Engineer, responsible for provision of engineering service and expertise to both internal and external clients. This will involve design, calculations, FEA and drawings within a growing a specialist organisation.
The successful candidate shall be creating designs in support of the company's projects and providing design verification services (hand calculations) on behalf of my client. You shall be charged with creating drawings for manufacturing, client review, in-hose marketing and a range of other projects. You shall be experience in creating designs in 3D (ideally using Solidworks), creating and checking calculations / FEA, project planning and reviewing others designs.
Experience / knowledge Required:
. Design / Mechanical / Engineer degree or equivalent qualifications
. Minimum 3 years commercial experience in a Design / Engineering / Manufacturing environment
. Expert in preparation and reporting FEA
. Confident in creating hand calculations
. MathCAD experience / knowledge
. Experience modelling and drafting in 3D / SolidWorks
. Familiar with AutoCAD 2D drafting
. Excellent communication skills and team leadership abilities
